By accessing and using SAMi.gg ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SAMi.gg is a web service that calculates and displays achievement difficulty metrics for Steam games using publicly available global achievement percentage data. The Service provides:

  • Achievement difficulty scores (Ease-to-100%, SAMi Index)
  • Value scores based on price and difficulty
  • Game discovery and filtering tools
  • User library tracking (optional, via Steam login)
  • Community features such as tips and guides

3. Disclaimer of Affiliation

SAMi.gg is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Valve Corporation or Steam in any way.

Steam, the Steam logo, and all related trademarks are property of Valve Corporation. All game names, images, and related assets are property of their respective owners.

We use the Steam Web API in accordance with Steam's API Terms of Use to provide our services.

4. User Accounts

When you log in via Steam, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information through your Steam profile
  • Maintain the security of your Steam account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us of any unauthorised use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. User-Generated Content

By submitting content (tips, guides, comments, etc.) to SAMi.gg, you:

  • Grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use the content
  • Confirm you have the right to submit such content
  • Agree not to submit content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes others' rights

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without permission
  • Submit false, misleading, or malicious content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use automated systems (bots) to access the Service excessively

7. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to provide accurate achievement data, we make no guarantees regarding:

  • The accuracy of difficulty scores or metrics
  • The completeness of game or achievement data
  • The availability of specific games or achievements
  • Real-time accuracy of pricing information

Achievement data is sourced from Steam's public API and may not always reflect the current state of games. Some achievements may become unobtainable due to server shutdowns or game updates.

8. Intellectual Property

The SAMi.gg name, logo, and original content (excluding game data from Steam) are our intellectual property. Our methodology for calculating achievement metrics is our own creation.

Game images, names, and achievement data are property of Valve Corporation and respective game publishers/developers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SAMi.gg and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SAMi.gg and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

11. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
